Restorative and Implant DentistMitchell B. Shaw D.D.S., P.L.L.C. of Restorative and Implant Dentistry of Long Island (RIDLI), grew up in North Bellmore and attended W. C. Mepham High School, where he was active in student government, civic organizations and interscholastic sports. As a pitcher on the baseball team, Dr. Shaw received all-Nassau County honors.Upon graduation from Tufts University, Dr. Mitchell Shaw matriculated at the University of NY @ Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shaw graduated. He also co-captained the varsity basketball team. Dr. Shaw attended Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, where he was a four-year letterman on the varsity baseball team, served as an elected member of the Student Senate and continued his participation in various civic activities. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tufts University. Upon graduation from Tufts University, Dr. Mitchell Shaw matriculated at the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Shaw graduated with numerous scholastic Honors and was chosen by his classmates as Class Salutatorian, while maintaining his interest in student government and politics, as well as athletics. Following his graduation from S.U.N.Y. Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Shaw completed a General Practice Residency at Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N. Y., where he served in the dental facilities at L.I.J., Hillside medical center, Queens Hospital and principally at Parker Geriatric Center. In the year following his General Practice Residency, Dr. Shaw split his time in the private practice of dentistry and administering a Federal grant disbursed through the New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities investigating the availability of dental services for clients recently deinstitutionalized from the State’s Developmental Centers. Dr. Shaw has dedicated over forty years to providing outstanding general dental care in a compassionate, caring environment. His commitment to his patient’s comprehensive care has been successful due to, in good part, a large circle of outstanding dental and medical specialists that Dr. Shaw works with on a regular basis.
